On January 19, 2010, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) transferred 1,519 domain names from the registered owner to the InterContinental Hotels Group. WIPO found the registrations to have been made in bad faith and to constitute a pattern of registration for the purpose of preventing the rightful trademark owner from promoting its brand.
