Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is proud to continue its philanthropic efforts with a combined $20,000 commitment to Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida for 2021-2022. Each of the Firm’s Florida offices (Fort Myers and Naples) has pledged $5,000 in 2021 and 2022 to the food bank.
“We recognize that many people in our communities are continuing to struggle,” said Hahn Loeser CEO and Managing Partner Stanley R. Gorom III. “In the spirit of our 100 Acts of Kindness initiative during the firm’s 100th anniversary in 2020 and as part of the Firm’s deep commitment to the communities we serve, the firm is partnering with food banks in each of our respective locations. We believe this partnership gives us an opportunity to provide direct help to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.”
“We love the concept of 100 Acts of Kindness and are proud that Hahn Loeser has selected the food bank as one of its philanthropic partners,” said Harry Chapin Food Bank President and CEO Richard LeBer. “We are extremely grateful for the generous support of Hahn Loeser. This partnership is critical in our ability to feed more than a quarter of a million who are hungry each month.”
A member of Feeding America, Harry Chapin Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in Southwest Florida, serving five counties. With a vision “that no one has to go hungry in our community,” Harry Chapin Food Bank rescues food and distributes it through more than 150 partner agencies to feed more than a quarter of a million people in need each month. Last year, it distributed the equivalent of 39.6 million meals and other grocery items.
This commitment is part of Hahn Loeser’s firmwide effort to support local food banks in each community where it has offices. Earlier this summer, Hahn Loeser’s San Diego office continued its eighth consecutive year of support for Feeding San Diego. The firm’s Cleveland, Columbus and Chicago offices will also be joining the initiative later this year with a financial commitment to each office’s local food bank.
“We share the vision of Harry Chapin Food Bank that no one has to go hungry in our community,” said Robert A. Cooper, Partner-in-Charge of Hahn Loeser’s Fort Myers office. “Beyond this financial support, our attorneys and staff in Fort Myers and Naples are committed to volunteering their time and resources to ensure it is possible for the food bank to feed a quarter of a million people a month in Southwest Florida.
About Harry Chapin Food Bank
Harry Chapin Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, is the largest hunger-relief organization in Southwest Florida. Harry Chapin Food Bank distributed $71 million dollars’ worth of food in fiscal year 2021. Through our food distribution programs, we supplied 47.6 million pounds of food and other grocery items, including 12.6 million pounds of fresh produce.
