Stanley R. Gorom III, John D. Drdek

Hahn Loeser & Parks was among 50 employers from around the country recently honored for exceptional support of Navy Reserve Sailors. The ceremony took place in San Diego on board the USS Midway Museum, during the U.S. Navy Reserve‘s annual Navy Employer Recognition Event (NERE).

Hahn Loeser Attorney and U.S. Navy Reserve Lieutenant Commander John D. Drdek nominated HLP, while CEO and Managing Partner Stanley R. Gorom III attended the event to accept the Outstanding Employer Support award on the Firm’s behalf. NERE recognizes civilian employers who provide outstanding support to Reserve Sailors in their organizations in a civilian capacity. The all-day event included demonstrations and tours of Navy ships, aircraft, and multiple facilities.

“I enjoyed the rare privilege of spending the day touring the San Diego and Coronado Naval Bases and meeting many of our Navy personnel while they were hard at work,” Gorom said. “The scope of their efforts, their hard work, hospitality, and great, good humor were incredibly impressive. Thank you to Vice Admiral J.B. Mustin and his entire command as well as the volunteers of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Most importantly, thank you to all of our attorneys and staff who have served in the military.”

In addition to Drdek, Hahn Loeser Attorneys Bryan W. Evans and Benjamin J. Horvath serve in the Army Reserves.  There are also other men and women across the firm who are military veterans, including Theodore L. Tripp Jr., Mark R. Klym, Daniel R. Cherry, Meyvis Hawkins, Brennan Flory, and Heide Webster.  In October of 2023, Hahn Loeser’s San Diego office was honored with Patriotic Employer Awards from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).
