Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP is pleased to announce that John J. Cunniff earned board certification from The Florida Bar effective August 1, 2017.
Board certification is The Florida Bar’s highest level of evaluation of the competency and experience of attorneys in the 26 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. It recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Only seven percent of eligible Florida Bar members (approx. 4,800 lawyers) are board certified.
Jeanne L. Seewald, a member of Hahn Loeser’s Board of Trustees and current Board Certified Specialist in Intellectual Property, stated, “This certification is evidence of how hard both John and Juan have worked over their careers. They both constantly strive for excellence in every endeavor and show commitment to their work.”
Cunniff is a Board Certified Specialist in Intellectual Property. Between the firm’s Naples and Ft. Myers offices, Hahn Loeser now has five Board Certified Specialists including Jeanne L. Seewald who is certified in Intellectual Property, and Theodore L. Tripp, Jr. who is certified in Civil Trial Law and in Business Litigation.
Cunniff concentrates his practice in the area of patent law where he is well versed in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and worldwide through the World Intellectual Property Organization. He helps clients manage their patent portfolios both nationally and internationally and is particularly experienced in the pharmaceutical industry. Cunniff earned his J.D. from the University of Akron, his M.A. in Microbiology from Indiana University and his B.S., with honors in Biology, from Indiana University.
