Jacqueline A. Meese-Martinez is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Area, and her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts and in arbitration. Jacqueline provides creative and solution-focused representation to corporate clients in a wide range of industries, including technology and software, manufacturing and distribution, consumer goods, and healthcare. She is experienced as both defense- and plaintiff-side counsel on a broad variety of matters, such as contract and licensing disputes, fiduciary duty issues, public contracting and bid protests, corporate compliance and criminal investigations, trade secret defense, and intellectual property infringement. As a commercial litigator, Jacqueline handles all aspects of the legal process with a focus on striking the optimal balance between her clients’ business goals and litigation needs.

Jacqueline also has robust appellate experience with a proven track record of translating complex legal issues into winning briefs. Prior to joining Hahn Loeser, she was a law clerk at the New York Court of Appeals and an appellate public defender. Over her career, she has argued nearly twenty appeals. Several of Jacqueline’s successful appeals were featured in the media and in criminal procedure treatises.

As a former criminal defense attorney, Jacqueline also harnesses her knowledge of criminal practice to assist clients in a wide variety of matters related to the criminal justice system. Jacqueline’s practice includes supporting individual clients with post-conviction issues, including criminal restitution orders, expungement and sealing applications, and collateral relief motions. Jacqueline also advises corporate clients on responding to and defending against third-party subpoenas for criminal proceedings.
